The Puschkar-Mela takes place under the November full moon every year. It's a pilgrimage, a marriage market, a festival and the biggest camel fair in the world. Two weeks before it starts, the desert is filled with thousands of camels and people from the villages of Rajasthan.
Then a few days before the full moon, hundreds of thousands of pilgrims flock into the otherwise idyllic village town of Puschkar with over 100 temples surrounding the oasis lake and take part in one of India's holiest festivals.
